Oh my gosh, if I could find my 7th grade picture, I would so post it.  I decided I'd go to school that day wearing the gaudiest earrings ever, and a SALMON-colored shirt with dang fringe on it.  FRINGE.  Ooooof.

I've been known to leave the house in a pair of pants with a fairly sizeable hole in the crotch.  But ooooh, they're soo comfortable!  And no, you can't have a picture of that!

I was an "angry" teenager: variously colored hair, black combat boots, fishnets, a sheer black top with a red leopard print bra.  Add a significant amount of body glitter, blue liquid eyeliner, 30 bangle bracelets and HUGE plastic "Superman" earrings...yeah, I'm pretty sure the visual is as scary as the real life me was.  :)

Oh my poor mother....oh poor me....I have a daughter now and you know what they say about payback...

Ok So this one was not my fault!! I blame my mother.  Apparently in 7th grade I had the "she mullet".  My husband actually saw the pic hanging on the wall at my grandmothers house and asked who the little boy!  She also hacked my bangs so I suffered from the 'she mullet" with lop sided bangs! (I will not be posting a picture of this either)

In my "single days" (in my twenties)I was at this dance club with some friends and I thought I was lookin' pretty cute that night.....I had been dancing having a good ole time and went to the bathroom and came back to the dance floor and I noticed people were staring at me,  girls and guys were lookin' and thought to myself , I must be really lookin' cute.....well, NOT SO MUCH, I had a toilet paper train on the bottom of my shoe that was about 5 ft long dragging it onto the dance floor....my face is red right now!!!  PURE SHAME!

I am an 80's child, so there are oh so many fashion diasters to choose from!  Does anyone remember hyper-color shirts?  They were the ones that changed colors when exposed to sunlight or heat.  Well I wore an awesome pink one on the first day of school one year along with my acid washed tight rolled jeans and pink socks to match my awesome shirt all while sporting a 'she mullet'. I was looking good until the bell sounded for break and we all went outside to the sunny courtyard where my pink shirt magically changed to purple and my socks no longer matched.  Well after that hypercolor shirt warmed up, I just couldn't get it to cool off, so I walked around for the rest of the day with a purple shirt and bright pink socks.  Being a preteen, I was mortified!

When I was in 8th grade, a friend convinced me to join the Little Miss pageant in our town.  Having never done anything like that before, I was reluctant but brave.  After the talent section and the question section, I was feeling pretty good having just done it though no where near as qualified as most in the competition.  We were all on stage for the last time.  I was decked out in pink (which must have been my favorite color I guess).  The top was pink with the ruffle that went around the neck and down the front.  I wore a miniskirt with three ruffle sections.  I wore pink pantyhose and those pink shoes (you know the ones you used to buy white for weddings and then dyed them any color).  Forget the hideous outfit.  The worst was as we came off the stage in our line.  I didn't realize that the step off was a wooden built step covered in carpet.  I stepped on the end of that step flipping up the step and falling backwards back onto the stage.  The girl behind me half caught me as I tried desperately to get my skirt back down into position.  Humilitating to say the least.

I have wlked out of the house with 2 different shoes on.  I was running late and had my nice blue button up shirt on and my black slacks.  I put my sandals on and headed to work, about an hour after I got there, not only was one sandal brown and one black - one was closed toe and one was open toe.  I worked all day with my feet behind my desk.  You think I would have learned, 2 mths later I work my nice orange sweater and off white cordoruy pants, it was cold for a day or two, and my boots.  I got to wrk and at lunch, my coworker so casually starts laughing - one was brown and one was black.   I do check my shoes now.

I got one more to add, I need to find the picture from my junior year.  My friend cut my bangs wet, well there were about 1/2 inch long. I went to the wig place to get a some hair and had it glued in and the color did not match, the lady then tries to shape my hair and i not only had an ugly boy cut, but no bangs.  I took forever to recover from that.  I should have just left the bangs alone and kept my long hair.

This fashion faux pas may be one of those,"you had to be there" kind of moments, but it was hilarious at the time.

My friends' children are older than my daughter (MD) so they had never met her.  One night we all decided to go out to eat and I invited MD to come along so they could meet her.  We were sitting at the table and MD decided she needed to visit the facilites.  She asked if anyone needed to go and everyone said NO.  About the time MD got to the door, one friend decided that she did need to go.  MD is already in the restroom and the friend goes in.  MD finishes and is washing her hands when she hears someone tell her , "Miss you dropped your panties on the floor".  MD says "those are not mine, I have mine on".  The friend, sitting on the toilet, burst out laughing.  When they both get back to the table, the friend asks MD if she lost anything in the restroom.  MD turns beet red and answers NO, but realizes something must have happened.  Turns out her teeny, weeny panties were stuck in her pants from the static cling from the dryer and fell out of her pants when she used the restroom.  So now, everytime my friends see MD, they ask her if she HAS HER PANTIES ON.  What a Great First Impression.

Wow, so many!!!! Let's see, I have done the ugly, gawdy earrings, the what I called porccupine (did i spell that right?) bangs, ewww, I hated those. My grandmother always hand made my clothes and you could easily tell it too. Nothing had tags haha.

One I have now I hate to say, is that most of my kakhi pants are too short, high waters

It is so embarrassing, but I can't find any the right length on sale and I cannot afford the full price, haha. Oh well :)
